A Pastor's Daughter

As a pastor’s daughter Premika’s time at Yale would give her the chance to meet and see other women priests in the pulpit. Seeing how the  Anglican/Episcopal churches in the USA works will impact not just Premika, but also those that interact with her when she returns.

Below is Premike leading a service in Kathmandu. The Anglican church in Nepal is does not include female priests. Unlike the Episcopal Church in the USA who is also a part of the Anglican church

Women’s rights and leadership roles in Nepal can potentially be enhanced and even help bridges the schism of the Anglican Communion. Female leadership in Nepal’s Christian community is certainly to be enhanced.

Working at Anglican Church In Nepal’s office in Kathmandu it is especially a big deal for Premika to make this journey as the Anglican church in Nepal. This summer study time will support the work she does in Nepal and help her to take back skills that can benefit her work in Nepal.

We are planning a feature length documentary around Premika’s travels and experiences on her way to Yale and her time there. We will track her as she returns to Kathmandu and continue to assess the experience’s impact. We will also visit her village and talk with her family
