Garden of Nepal – By and For Human Trafficking Victims – May Update

On this Mother's Day we are forwarding, unedited, the latest newsletter from Devi and Kishan Nepali regarding their human trafficking-awareness and related ministry in Nepal. It is a window on the ongoing story of untold thousands of mothers struggling against poverty, lack of education, and cultural inertia - to keep their girls safe. So we thought it an appropriate point of view for this special day. It is also a story of hope as this ministry takes root in the villages of Nepal, supported by the outreach of Golgotha Church in Kathmandu, and TheoEco Institute's Garden of Nepal initiative. Both Devi and Golgotha Church are featured in TheoEco's documentary The Flourishing Kathmandu Church.

Dear Friends and Praying partner,

​On 28th March 2017 our team of four people we headed to Sindhupalchowk district Doubli village in Bolthe for human trafficking awareness program. The program was on 29th March 2017. The program was very effective. This time we have brought movie which shows how the girls from different villages of Nepal is tapped and they got sold. The movie was shown in big screen through projector.

This month we were able to collect 2 big bags and 4 medium bags of clothes for the kids/man/ women from our church. We handover those clothes to the two pastors of two different churches there. They are very much thankful for providing clothes for people of their village. According to the pastors it was very much required for some families and people there.

Beautiful children in Sindhupalchowk

We were very much delight to see these beautiful kids there. They were also very happy to have us. We had a fun with singing, dancing and playing together. We tried to teach them some Sunday school songs. We want to thank god for providing us this opportunity to be with them.

Families in Need

There are 6 kids in this family. After drinking an alcohol Father and mother started quarreling with each other. In their fight the father killed the mother. Now the father is in prison. These aunties are taking care of these kids. Five kids used to go to school but now they are not able to go to school.

If we can provide some financial help to these kids they can have opportunity of education for their bright future. This family has started to go to one of our Anglican Church in Sindhupalchowk. We thank God for giving us this opportunity to pray with them.

Donate 1 child = 50 USD per month (for their food/shelter/education)

There are total 9 kids at high risk in our contact in Sindhupalchowk, who are waiting for our response of help.

Man with physical disabilities

We went to this man’s house and hear his testimony. It’s been 34 years that he is not being able to stand on His two feet and walk. His whole body has been paralyzed but only his left hand is working. He can sit only if somebody help him carry from his bed and place him somewhere. He can move with the help of this small leather bag.It takes him very long time to go to church because it is very difficult for him to move. He sits on it and by crawling he can move a bit. Like this he goes to church. He used to have lots of bleeding from his both ears for many years. But after prayer he got healing. Now there is no more bleeding. He is in need of one wheel chair.

He and his wife they do not have children. Their relatives’ took their properties by trick. They are old and are not able to work.

Donate USD 192 for his wheelchair.

Our Praying Requests
After long time of prayer we are able to select the board members of 11 people for registering our organization as social welfare organization. We are going to have our first board meeting on 08th April 2017.After that it will take around 3 month to register. Pray for the smooth process. Pray for the money required as legal fee and registration. Our Need of USD 200 to 250 USD per month for travelling expenses for our team to go to remote villages of Nepal for awareness program on human trafficking. We are travelling to Nuwakot district for the awareness program.

Please pray that we can collect clothes for them. We are praying for a very loving lady care taker in Sindhupalchowk .Who can stay in her village and can take care of these 9 at high risk kids. We are praying that as soon as we start to receive donations we can help these kids.Pray for two ladies who are working with us in jewelry making. Pray that we can generate income through sales in different countries and provide them the living wages. Till now there is no sufficient sale. Pray for God’s protection upon our team and our vision.
