Filmmaker Steve Richards will be on hand to introduce this compelling film, the third in his Trek to Bucha series. With footage from his visits to Ukraine in April 2022, January 2023, and the winter and fall and 2024, this stunning and inspiring film reaches through and beyond the physical devastation of the war to reveal the extraordinary faith and resilience of Ukrainians who live and rebuild in the face of continuing attacks. Following the film, Steve will host the Q&A.
“Beyond Bucha offers an eye-opening pilgrimage through the cities of a country at war - where its citizens, and especially its Christian believers, find strength, consolation, resilience, and hope in the vigorous life of their faith communities.” - John Andrews, Jamestown Ukraine Relief Project

"Beyond Bucha" is the third film in the “Trek to Bucha” series...
It began with the original film shot in April 2022 after Russia’s full-scale invasion. 2023’s follow-up, “Back to Bucha,” continues to impact audiences with its ongoing American outreach campaign. The new film continues to document Ukraine’s resilience by focusing on Evangelical pastors and their flocks in Kyiv, Bucha, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and the Orthodox church in Odesa.
